Meet niki

Compliance With Purpose.

Niki Mazur, Compliance Officer, brings a well-rounded background in school administration to GEMCOR. Prior to joining the team, she spent ten years as the Financial Aid Director at a Federal Student Aid (FSA) eligible school in northern Illinois. Like many professionals at smaller institutions, Niki wore multiple hats—balancing her responsibilities as an administrator and instructor. Her firsthand experience with accreditation reviews and site visits adds a valuable perspective to her role at GEMCOR.

At GEMCOR, Niki’s primary responsibilities include processing Federal Grant awards, managing documents through ShareFile, and conducting eligibility file reviews. Her deep understanding of both school operations and Federal Aid compliance makes her a trusted resource for clients navigating the complexities of the Pell Grant program. 

Outside of work, Niki enjoys spending time outdoors, especially boating, and finds fulfillment volunteering with her Certified Therapy Dog, Porter. One of her proudest achievements is earning the title of Master Educator through Milady during her time as an instructor. Clients working with Niki can expect a detail-oriented and dedicated partner who is committed to helping them find answers with patience and care. She values the collaborative nature of client relationships, viewing them as shared efforts in navigating the complexities of financial aid. A favorite memory from her time at GEMCOR is the full-circle moment of joining the team—having once relied on GEMCOR’s support as a financial aid administrator herself, she now takes pride in offering that same guidance to others. Her ideal day starts with exercise and a strong cup of coffee, ready to tackle whatever comes her way.
